Inspired By Nature Day Two

Hi Everyone!

Here is my entry for day two. Again, I don't really have anything that matches the color scheme of the photo, plus it's starting to get pretty warm during the day, which limits my options.

I looked at the picture and what I saw after color was movement. The way the lily pad stems snaked through the water and the waving of the seaweed in the background put me in mind of the way fabrics interact with our body. One thing I instantly loved about the silk top was the sinuous, floaty shape it had when I walked. I paired it with the palazzo jeans I got from Ironkurtin at the YLF meetup (thank you, IK). The other thing I liked about the photo was the idea of revealing a hidden world. We can't see everything from shore. I added the bee ring because I love how the bee is under a little looking glass and you can only see it if you look at the ring from a certain angle.

Thanks for looking! : )

Blouse: Elizabeth and James
Jeans: Citizens of Humanity (from Ironkurtin)
Shoes: Me Too
Ring: Mars and Valentine

Oh how FAB !!!! You are so good at this ! I loved yesterday's interpretation too. That ring is just great and a really fun touch to the flowers.

What a perfect interpretation and I feel like I'm floating right along with the image and you.

I love how you've interpreted the photo in terms of movement and mood. The swingy shape of your top and pants is so much fun and I can really see the sinuous movement even in the still photographs. And the bee ring is beyond cool!

This is an amazing outfit Ana (great take on volume on volume) but I loved even more reading your photo interpretation and how you came with it. And the ring is gorgeous!

Thanks so much, everyone! I really appreciate all your comments.

Laura, thank you for the compliment! Sometimes I feel like my brain is a sprawling attic crammed with junk. I can't keep anything straight. If someone could see inside, they might run screaming from the clutter. :)

IK, I love these pants so much! Thank you!! :D

Angie, thank you! I'm thinking you mean like, "naughty secretary?" I'll take it! :D

This outfit does a wonderful job at capturing the idea of movement from the inspiration photo! I'm a big fab of those wide wide leg pants (I have a pair myself!), yay to IK for hooking you up :D What's the print on your shirt? Is it abstract?

  • Ana replied 11 years ago

Thanks, Aida! The print on my blouse is tiny, teal-colored dice. :D

Beautiful outfit! Love this look on you! Love the sleeveless tops that I have seen on you! Love your denim too! You are inspiring, Ana! As an Atlantan who shares long summers, well, endless summers, I am taking notes!
